Vasudha: Earth, Energy, and Environment

Vasudha: Earth, Energy, and Environment is a community where members share an interest in the Earth, its energy resources, and our natural environment. Vasudha is unique among our theme communities; it is a Living-Learning Community. Living-Learning Communities allow you to take courses during your first year with other students who are interested in issues of the Earth, our energy resources, and the natural environment. There is no requirement that you take a Vasudha affiliated course, however, students are encouraged to take the core seminar, IHSS-1970 Nature/Society, since this will give you an opportunity to connect with other students. Similar to the other theme houses on campus, you'll live with other students who share similar interests, and enjoy many great conversations with others in a dedicated community space (and classroom) located in Nason Hall. The program is open to all majors. One of the signature themes of our program is a focus on independent thought, critical thinking, and an early introduction to undergraduate research experience. Vasudha is located on the first floor of Nason Hall and is a partnership between the Office of Student Living and Learning and the Office of Undergraduate Education.
