The Office of Residential Education, in collaboration with the Division of Student Life is pleased to offer a Wellness themed housing option for incoming freshman. Housed in Bray Hall, the Wellness House is a place for students to learn about and practice a holistic approach to making their minds and bodies healthier. Students housed in the Wellness House will have the opportunity to select from interest areas such as nutrition/fitness, sexual health/human sexuality, alcohol/drugs and mental health and assist with programming in these areas. If you were involved with Peer Education in high school, this would be an excellent housing option for you! However, the Wellness House is not just for health/fitness enthusiasts or athletes, the focus is applicable for anyone and everyone. If you are interested in making healthier decisions and improving the quality of your time here at Rensselaer, then the Wellness House is for you!
Topics to be discussed include:
- Eating healthy meals in your dining hall
- Using Fitness Center equipment
- Proper sleeping habits
- Healthy relationships
- Tai Chi/Qigong/Yoga
