Assignment process
Only full-time, matriculated married students with or without dependent children, or full-time matriculated single students with dependent children, are eligible for Family Student Housing. Graduate students with assistantships are considered full-time students though registered for limited course hours. Post-doctoral students may be assigned when space permits, after graduate and undergraduate students have been accommodated. Apartments are to be occupied by the student, his or her spouse, and, if applicable, their dependents. Upon the request of Residence Life, a student may be required to present a copy of his or her marriage certificate to verify marital status. Please note the following when applying for Family Student Housing:
If you would like to apply for housing, fill out the Family Student Housing Application. Non-DiscriminationRensselaer does not discriminate in any manner on the basis of gender, sexual orientation, age, race, color, marital status, national or ethnic origin, religion, or disability. Accessibility for Students With DisabilitiesSome students may have special needs or physical limitations that may determine which particular residence is best for them. Because of the variety of our residences in both design and location, assignments are made individually, based upon the student's needs and the benefits of particular locations. If you are applying to Rensselaer Family Housing and have particular needs or limitations, please contact the Office of Residence Life. Last modified: May 28, 2009 |
