Living in a residence hall gives you the opportunity to live with and interact with a wide variety of people. We hope the residence hall becomes a community supportive of each student's endeavors to learn both in and out of the classroom.
In each residence hall you will find students with different backgrounds. Various cultures, races, religious beliefs, and sexual orientations will be represented. All residents will have different thoughts and attitudes about the world in which they live. Interacting with and learning from others who are different from you can be one of the most exciting experiences of your college career. Developing a community spirit in the residence hall can foster these interactions.
The Hall Council is a governing and programming organization in each residence hall.
Throughout the year, social and educational programs are offered in the residence halls.
The Rensselaer Resident Student Association (RSA) consists of an executive board and representatives from each residence hall and apartment area on campus.
There are many reasons to live on campus, but here are some of the best.
