In June 2018, Shirley Ann Jackson, Ph.D., President of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute announced the creation of a Task Force to assess and strengthen the Rensselaer fraternity/sorority life system, and to work with the community to identify what is necessary to enact a long-term, sustainable, and comprehensive culture change to preserve the positive aspects of the RPI fraternity/sorority system.
