Community leaders

Over 150 years of value and tradition.

Since 1864, fraternal organizations have been a part of the history and tradition of Rensselaer. Today, the Rensselaer fraternity and sorority community represents 28 fraternities and 5 sororities with more than 1,000 students calling the RPI community home. Each fraternity and sorority is either a member of one of the three governing councils: the Interfraternity Council (IFC), the Multicultural Sorority & Fraternity Council (MSFC), the Rensselaer Panhellenic Council (RPC) or a part of a Professional Fraternity or Sorority (PFS).

Alumni Fraternity & Sorority Council (AFSC)

The Alumni Fraternity & Sorority Council (AFSC) is a collective of alumni representing various chapters on campus. Functioning as a valuable resource for undergraduates, the AFSC serves dual roles—acting as a support hub alongside the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Commons and serving as a forum where alumni contribute their voices and offer solutions to address concerns that matter.
